you need this

just when you thought the ipad alone was enough to keep this kids occupied.... here is something new from crayola to take it to a whole new level! the crayola colorstudiohd is literally a weight off your shoulders, now you don't need to bring the giant bag full of crayons and colored pencils and four different coloring books. this stylus everything all rolled into one. so just download every app you can find, hand over the stylus and let em color, paint, and marker until there little fingers fall off!

donut muffins!
take the little ones and get in the kitchen - were making donut muffins! ahhh donuts...we have a love/hate relationship. when i was little we used to get donuts every weekend on our way to sunday school, so they bring back a sort of nostalgic feeling, yet every time i eat one.... ok eat two ... or three... i immediately think to myself why god? why? why is something so good so bad ..... that’s when the book spoke to me... my recipe book that is... donut mini muffins! ok ok so maybe these aren’t the best snack but muffin sounds healthier than donut.... right? plus they are small so you can just pop one or two to satisfy sugar cravings without feeling guilty. my lil’ mcnugget and i went on a mission!
(remember this is supposed to be fun and messy...so control your OCD and let them go wild...)
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup butter, melted
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
1/2 cup milk
1 tsp baking powder
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup butter, melted
1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
Preheat your oven to 375 degrees and grease a muffin tin, set aside. Mix up the 1/2 cup sugar, 1/4 cup butter and nutmeg in a large bowl. Then, add in the milk, baking powder and flour until just combined. Fill muffin tins about 3/4 full and bake for 15-20 minutes. side note... i made mini mini muffins.. i would recommend making them atleast the next size up...

flower child
the best part about spring is the flowers... the best part about flowers is that they are the earths perfect accessory. put one in your hair and you are instantly transformed through sight and smell... enter the flower halo. we chose to make our flower halo using faux flowers just for practicality sake (so we can wear it again and again and again!) and lets face it – its cheaper! however if you’d like to make one using real flowers , for a special occasion , a gift or because its a tuesday.. mosey on over to free people’s blog http://blog.freepeople.com/2011/05/floral-headpiece-how-to/ and they have a great tutorial...anyways
here’s how it goes down:
